Our first winter storm
During the night I woke to feed Talon and looked outside. The snow was coming down! By this morning we have 5-6 inches and it is still snowing. We have Garen to thank for the photos. He went out to take photos in between snow showers. I know this snow won’t last long but I am a bit worried about what the kids will were as I haven’t changed out there summer clothes for more appropriate attire yet….

"What the he!! is scrapbooking anyways???"
So I am trying to do this. I really think it is pretty fun but super time consuming. If Greg knew how long I spent doing it, it would justify his thinking that I am a lazy arse at home. I am nursing the baby most of the time, one handing typing and Photoshop, ain't I talented! (Mom, the ain’t is just for you Ü)

Talon's Burrito
It’s called a Miracle blanket. It is shaped kind of like a triangle with extra parts so his arms are stuck to his sides and it rolls around him so he is just snug as a bug. I ordered this when Talon was just brought home and I was up all night with him for several days. The day it arrived I set it aside so I could wash it. At 2 in the morning I got up and tore it out of its package. I have been using it ever since. It just works! Talon calms and actually can get a good sleep! Don’t I sound like an advertisement!

Carefree days of summer...
When I was little I remember looking through neighbors rocks. Especially a neighbors white cortz landscaping rocks. Me and Rhonda Boshaw would spend quite a lot of time looking through those white rooks looking for ones with a tiny bit of red in them. That meant the devil had touched them and we would throw them in the street.
Another favorite summer pastime in the “brown house” was putting rocks in the wheels of moms beautiful 68? Baby blue Ford Mustang. I remember her backing out of the driveway and being super angry yelling, “Who put the rocks in the wheels!” I am certain I did it more than once…

These photos of me are circa 1982. Poor Kianna as dad (Geoff) gives her a hard time for what she wears now!

Our beautiful baby boy!
Welcome our beautiful son, Talon Gregory.
Boy oh boy that was not the hospital trip I planned! The c/s went just fine even though I was so worried. We got our boy and everyone was so surprised. They only showed me the baby over the sheet for .4 seconds. I told my husband it was okay to let go of my hand and go to the baby, make sure it really was a he and all was good.
The next day or two was uneventful really. Talon and I developed something called Coombs factor, this happened sometime between 24 and 39 weeks. It is a blood “disorder” similar to the Rh factor. Anyhow, it can cause serious jaundice for Talon and would affect any subsequent pregnancies for me, although there won’t be any of those ♥
Talon has been under the lights for several days. Me, something a bit more odd. After my c/s my GI tract just decided not to function. Everything I ate came up a couple of hours later with severe pain as you can imagine after a c/s. This started about 2 days in. I was so sick! I had to be on an IV again and oxygen along with anti-nausea meds and morphine. It was really bad and very painful.
We were released on Saturday and all is mostly good now although I am still nervous about my body and on a mostly liquid diet. Talon is still going in everyday to get his bilirubin checked.
Our whole family is super excited to add a new baby boy to our home. What a thrill it was to tell everyone.
I just made this quick collage of Talon & some family. These are the only pic’s I have uploaded so far.
A very exciting home we have. I feel very lucky and blessed to make it though this journey and to finally have our son home in our arms. ♥ YAY♥
